Go Over 100% Volume in GNOME with One Terminal Command

This may be my shortest post, as I was searching around for this information online for my current openSUSE 30-Day challenge. In short: I wanted to know how to go beyond 100% volume on my GNOME setup, but had forgotten what I did to achieve this on both my Arch and Fedora systems.

Thankfully, I discovered you only need one simple terminal command. The best part is there’s no need to install anything extra. Simply pop open a terminal and enter this command in!

Hit enter and watch as you can now crank your system volume beyond the 100% mark. It really is that easy.

Of course, if you change your mind on this for whatever reason, just enter the same command, but change the true to false at the end like so:

Not much more to say on this. I found this so immensely useful that I decided I wanted to share this information right away, especially considering that I didn’t find this immediately when searching online. Hope others find it useful. Be sure to leave a comment or like if you found this helpful on your GNOME setup.
